Hello, I’m Kim welcome to my blog where I love to share all about home and life!! I’m a momma to 4 amazing children and a ‘Mimi’ to 7 adorable grand babes. They fill my days with sunshine!

I started this blog as creative outlet. Being creative is a comfort to me, just like digging in my garden and spending time outdoors with my family. Nate Berkus said exactly how I feel about home in this quote; “Your home should tell the story of who you are, and be a collection of what you love.” Don’t you agree?

Home = Comfort and should be filled with things that you love. When I was younger, my room was my space and I was always looking for ways to give it a new look, so I rearranged it often. It’s a great way to refresh a space! I still love that feeling.

You don’t have to spend a lot of money to make your home look amazing. I hope you will find inspiration in this little blog of mine. Create spaces on a budget, gardening, diy’s and find ways to live a simple, comfortable life. Over the years I have helped friends & family find ways to fill their homes with things they love that show off their personal style. Follow along and let’s get creative.

A Little Bit About Me

• I was born in Colorado. I love the mountains and have so many great memories of spending time in the beautiful Rocky Mountains! My family moved to South Dakota when I was 12.
• A few years after I got married, Arizona became home for my little family. We lived there for 5 years and then ended up moving back ‘home’ to South Dakota.
• I am a cancer survivor!! 22 years and going! Thank you Lord Jesus!!
• I love a good cup of coffee to warm me in the cold months and a great cup of cold brew when the temps rise.
• I love DIY’s, I am always doing something creative…that’s where the name of my blog came from.
• I am a quiet gal on the shy side until you get to know me.
• Relaxation for me is getting cozy with a good book! I love big books I cannot lie.
• I love big loud thunderstorms, the smell of rain and the outdoors!!
• Flea Markets and Thrift Stores are an adventure for me. I love the hunt, you never know what you’ll find.
• My family is my everything, my kids and grandbabes are my treasures! I love them more than anything in this world.
• Most importantly is my relationship with Jesus Christ. Without Him I would be nothing.
